Obituary
Benjamin Charles Kim Rowberry, 33, of Phoenix, Arizona was found passed away in his home on February 23, 2023.
Ben was born to LuCinda Curtis and Randy Kim Rowberry on November 3rd 1989, in Phoenix, AZ. He grew up in Peoria, AZ and graduated from Peoria High School, where he played soccer. In grade school Ben won both a Poetry and Art Competition for the Peoria District. Ben liked the outdoors, skateboarding, drawing, crafting, and building. He taught himself how to play the guitar, and he wrote deep inspiring music with meaningful lyrics.
Ben served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Johannesburg, South Africa from May 2012 to May 2014.
Ben enjoyed working as a Take-off Technician at Rummel Construction.
People who knew Ben loved him and they described him as being a bright light in a dark world. He touched countless lives with his selfless service, including friends, family, and strangers. He spent much of his life entertaining and making friends. Ben was an active young man, a dynamic and talented musician, and he was thoughtful and creative. Ben will be greatly missed by his family and friends who were unprepared and who are devastated by this unexpected loss. He is survived by his parents as well as his sisters; Jessica, Kimberly, Adrianne, Caitlin, and Meaghan; and his brother, Aaron. He also leaves behind thirteen nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored.
A benefit concert will be held at Rio Vista Park, where Ben used to skateboard and teach skateboard safety to youth.
A funeral will be held on March 11th at Gilbert Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. All are welcome to attend.
