Barry Adams Green left his earthly life on March 13th, 2023 in Gilbert, AZ at the age of 82.  A memorial service will be held on March 25, 2023 at 11:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Greenfield Lakes chapel at 495 S. Greenfield Rd. Gilbert, Arizona 85234.

Barry was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 17th, 1940, the second of two sons of Robert and Elma Green. He grew up with a love of sports, the piano, and building model ships.  After graduating from Eagle Rock High School, he attended Pomona College graduating with a degree in Physics.  Later he earned a Master’s degree at Northwestern University and a Ph.D. In nuclear engineering from the University of Arizona. While studying at the University of Arizona, he met Dianne Smith, whom he later married. He worked for a time in the nuclear industry before becoming a freelance research scientist focusing in solid state physics.  His hobbies included studying scriptures, researching his family history, playing the piano, gardening, studying American history, and staying in contact with his many colleagues, friends, and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his father John Robert Green, mother Elma Rose Green, and brother Robert Ellis Green.  He is survived by his wife Dianne, his children Bruce (Marlee), Brenda, and Keith (Kristina), eleven grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
