Barbara Lou Huffer

Barbara Lou Huffer passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2024 in Gilbert, Az. Barbara was a faithful believer in the Lord and a prayer warrior. She was born in Lubbock, Texas to George and Lois Abel. Barbara had four siblings: Betty, Steve, Mark and Cathee.

She had two children of her own: Troy Huffer and Kara Taylor. She was blessed with four grandchildren: Madison, Caleb, Nolan, and Krista. Barbara was a teacher and then she stayed home to raise her children. She loved going to church, singing on the worship team, and volunteering at outreach events.

Barbara prayed for her family every day. She had a humble and gentle spirit. The light of Jesus would shine through her when she talked with people. Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 91. “Because he loves me, says the LORD, I will rescue him. I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him, I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him, and show him my salvation.” (Psalm 91: 14-16)
