Kip Ray Jardine, 80, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, in Gilbert, Arizona surrounded by family singing to him. He was born to Richard Nolan and Alfreta Gail Roylance Jardine on March 21, 1943, in Morton, Washington.

Kip was the third of four sons. Throughout his youth he learned the value of hard work, beginning on a farm in Washington state, where he drove a tractor at a young age. He had a great love for horses. His mother passed away when he was 14 and later his father passed away when he was 26. He served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.

Kip married the love of his life, Ruby Linda Moore, on February 14, 1972, after waiting for her to return from her church missionary service. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they raised five wonderful sons who were a joy and focus of his life. Kip and Linda began their family in Renton, Washington. They later moved to Orem, Utah where they resided for more than 40 years. He was an entrepreneur and generated numerous businesses. Kip loved boating and snowmobiling and spent time doing these with his family. He built strong relationships with others, could talk with anyone, and set a standard of excellence in his work. He loved and faithfully served the Lord Jesus Christ throughout his life and taught his children to do the same. Kip loved to sing and often sang duets with Linda. He had a beautiful voice and a delightful whistle. They relocated to Gilbert, Arizona in August 2022.

Kip is survived by his wife Linda, their 5 sons, Chad (Lauren) of Pleasant Grove, Utah, David (Missy) of Manti, Utah, Seth (Staci) of Gilbert, Arizona, Jared (Julie) of Payson, Utah, Adam (Christine) of Gilbert, Arizona; 35 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his brother Mike (Nancy), of Lehi, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brothers Dee and Gary.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the meetinghouse of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4346 South Val Vista Drive, Gilbert, Arizona 85297.

Condolences

  • It was such a pleasure being close neighbors to the Jardine family all their years in Orem. Kip was always an example of doing things the right way. Whenever one of my kids were washing the car, I would tell them to do a “Jardine Job” and show them how to do that. Our lives were influenced for good by living by Kip, Linda, and there wonderful sons.

  • I always loved Uncle Kip’s laugh & smile. He carried a happiness with him that was very Jardine. ❤️
