It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Charla Rae Orueta on November 20, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. Charla, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, touched countless lives with her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love.
Born on May 3, 1974, in Grants Pass, Oregon, Charla was raised amid the forests, rivers, and close-knit community that shaped her gentle spirit and generous heart. Though life later led her to Arizona, Oregon always remained a cherished part of who she was. For the past 20 years, she made her home in Mesa, where she raised her family and built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
Charla was a steady and loving partner to her husband and a devoted mother who poured her heart into guiding, supporting, and encouraging her children every step of the way. She was endlessly proud of the people they have become, and she carried that pride with her always. Her joy grew even deeper when she became a grandmother to her precious granddaughter, who brought light and happiness into her days.
Charla’s infectious smile, generous spirit, and heartfelt laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. She gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love.
Charla is survived by her devoted husband, Michael; her loving children, Makayla and Hunter; and her treasured granddaughter, Aleigha. She is also deeply missed by extended family and friends whose lives were touched by her grace, warmth, and compassion.
A service will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 11AM (MST) at Gilbert Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gilbert AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one of the below charitable organizations:
